I am a classically-trained neurobiologist, who decided to shake things up and explore computer science. I intertwine my work and hobbies bringing my creativity to life. Currently, I work for Avaloq as a DevOps Engineer. Frontend Software Engineer for Avaloq. I studied Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine with a specialization in Neuroscience during my Bachelor’s Degree. With my exposure to large biological datasets, I decided to further my knowledge and studied Neural Systems and Computation at ETH Zürich and University of Zürich for my Master’s Degree. For my Master's Thesis, I combined my passion for yoga and my wish to help others find this love of yoga. I devised and developed a yoga app, which corrects yoga poses in real-time. As a novel or beginner yogi, the practice of yoga can be intimidating to approach, especially with the fear of not knowing what to do in a yoga studio, or the discomfort of leaving your own home to complete a practice. This app allows anyone to practice from the comfort of their own home and gradually develop an Asana (or Yoga) practice.

Another side to my work is focused on education and the importance of making computer science skills accessible to children. I believe children have the potential to grow and influence the world in positive ways, and with the right skills they may have a greater impact. Currently, I co-founded Girls<>CodeToo, a non-profit organization, focused on supporting and encouraging girls to develop an interest in technology, through a series of themed workshops, coding clubs, and leadership classes. I have been inspiring kids, from the ages of 8-18, to learn the fundamentals in programming and to creatively develop their own computer games or mobile apps, making their ideas a reality.
